The Practice Aim
This Practice believes the culture of an organisation to be inherent. The culture of this Practice is consideration; consideration of our patients, their health, their future, and the Practice staff that will determine the direction by converting strategic vision into operational reality.
- We will treat everyone as an individual, with no discrimination.
- This means we plan care, which emphasises the patient's individual needs, dignity and strict confidentiality.
- Advice and information will be available in order to help our patients make the right choices.
Practice History
Victoria Road Surgery has been an established GP Practice since 1958. The Practice currently provides general medical services to around 11000 patients in and around the borough of Worthing. There are six partners who employ 1 practice manager, 5 nurses, 1 health care assistant, 2 phlebotomists and 18 administration staff who hold various positions within the Practice.
The Practice currently operates from two sites. The main surgery is at Victoria Road which is a converted Victorian house. These premises are owned by the partners and have been extended in recent years. The second surgery is based within a 1970’s health centre in Durrington which is rented from the Trust and is shared with two other practices and other ancillary services.
Patient Participation Group
This is a small friendly group where patients and GPs meet to discuss ideas and concerns so that our patient services can be improved. It aims to meet once every 3 - 4 months for about one hour. If you are interested in joining this Group or would like more information, please phone and leave your details at Reception and a member of the Group will give you a call.
